I've already had a few customers reach out to me, fretting about henna shortages given the tragic state of India in light of this most recent wave of Covid-19.
Â
Last year, I bought an excess of henna as soon as a worldwide pandemic was declared in March. This proved to be a solid decision because there were delays with both the henna crops that summer, and even more getting the powder exported to the US. (When various henna crops are harvested varies, but most are harvested in June and July.)
Â
This year, I'm taking similar precautions. Experts are predicting the current wave to crest in India in mid-May, which is near enough to the henna harvesting and processing time that I, too, was concerned.
Â
I've stocked up to make sure you will have your favorite NightBlooming hair colors without interruption. At my average rate of henna consumption, I'll have enough henna powder to keep producing all of my blends through the end of the year.Â
