I do silly things when stressed.

Like that time I converted all of my hair colors from plastic bags to compostable ones over a weekend. This time, I decide to release a few things that I was planning on doing after the move, but here we go!

Single Note Cedarwood Lassëa Bars for those with sensitivities (or people who just adore cedarwood)!

🌲 Aroma: A delicate sweet-woody aroma. More subtle and sweet than other Cedarwoods, Himalayan Cedarwood is soothing and spa-like.

🌿When I first started out on the shampoo and conditioner bar adventures, one of my goals was to offer an unscented bar... however that plan quickly went in the bin because while the base ingredients are fantastic and effective, they don't smell great. People sometimes thing "unscented" means "has no scent" and some companies add specific (kinda toxic) compounds to their "unscented" products to mask the aroma of the base ingredients and make the product smell more neutral. For obvious reasons, that wasn't something I was going to entertain doing.

After consulting many of my suppliers and experts, we determined that Himalayan Cedarwood was one of the most allergy-safe, non-reactive oils best for sensitive skin with a calming spa-like aroma.

Should this do well, it may become a NightBlooming standard store item! So why didn't I do samples if these are kind of experimental? Honest answer--I break even on samples (i.e. profit nothing) and they are a giant time sink, neither of which I can afford at the moment

🍃 Note: The green mica in these bars is shimmery and beautiful, and you can use them confidently knowing it will not stain your hair, towels, or tub. Mica is natural and inert.

This is a limited edition set of 1 shampoo bar and 1 conditioner bar. They are ~3oz/90g (in between the Leaf and Lembas sizes, similar to the Blossom size), though the exact weight may vary as they are hand poured.

Wheat Straw 16oz Bottles for Selkie Refills

Many customers asked where the paperbottle refills went, and the answer was that the only way I could order them was in a GIANT refrigerator-sized box of over 1,500 of them. When it became evident we were going to have to move, the smarter choice was to wait until then. In the meantime, one of my suppliers released these Wheat Straw bottles and they are great! I can also order them in quantiles that don't come in a box the size of my car.

Wheat straw is the stalk leftover after harvesting the wheat grain, and it’s often a waste product. A wheat straw bottle is a type of reusable bottle made from a blend of wheat straw fiber and a polymer material, like polypropylene. It’s considered an eco-friendly alternative to traditional plastic bottles because it uses a renewable, plant-based material. Wheat straw bioplastic products can decompose in local industrial composting sites within 6-9 months or up to a maximum of 2 years. Composting in your backyard is going to take much longer, but it will get there eventually! As an added bonus, wheat straw plants capture more carbon (CO2) from the air than they make during photosynthesis, resulting in a carbon-neutral output. Many plant-based bioplastics have this environmental benefit!

Also, unlike the paperbottles, these would be much easier to reuse for other purposes before finally composting it at the end of its life cycle. It would be fantastic for mixing up your Alluvial Chelating Crystal Rinse in for a shower!
