Wow, these smell amazing! If you’ve tried Nightblooming’s shampoo and conditioner bars before, you know they’re fantastic. The special edition set has all the wonderful performance of the original bars in a beautiful special color and autumn scent. It’s a fun way to change up my hair routine without sacrificing my favorite shampoo and conditioner!

I've brewed these up just for my Patrons! It's no secret that I love spoiling my Patrons and loyal, long-term customers. All the ingredients are the same as the Lassëa bars you know and love, except I swapped out the Eventide essential oil for limited edition ones!

Samhanin Spell is one of my very favorite blends of mine, and when I first thought about limited edition Lassëa bars years ago, I knew that this was the very first one I wanted to do. Fall is my favorite season, and Halloween / Samhain my favorite holiday (we are "that house" that gives out full-sized candy bars to about 250 kids a year).

Lassëa Solid Shampoo Bars are a planet-friendly, hair nourishing way to clean your hair. Full of natural, organic ingredients, these bars are handmade and hand-poured in small batches, then lovingly sent to you in Zero-Waste packaging. Their name comes from the Tolkien Quenya Elvish word lassëa meaning “with leaves, leafy.”

Note: The green mica in these bars is shimmery and beautiful, and you can use them confidently knowing it will not stain your hair, towels, or tub. Mica is natural and inert.

The Samhain Spell Set is a limited edition set of 1 shampoo bar and 1 conditioner bar. They are ~3oz/90g (in between the Leaf and Lembas sizes), though the exact weight may vary as they are hand poured. Limit 1 set per customer (at least at first).

So, I originally Got a Lembas bar last October and posted a review that I loved it. I have just gotten to the point of needing to order a new one, which I did last month. I have been recalculating my math from that last review, shocked. Has 1 Lembas bar lasted me 8 months?( mind you, I still am using the old one, but [ it has shrunk down to be ] similar in size to a sample one). For background, I have fine hair, but a lot of it, and it goes, at most, to my collarbone. I wash my hair once a week. This is crazy. And my hair feels great and healthy. $32 for shampoo that has lasted 8 months ( and not dead yet!). Without counting the cost of water or the conditioner, I spend 4 dollars a month to clean my hair. $4 a month. Melissa knows what she is doing!!

Lassëa lasts longer and costs you far less in the long run than an endless litany of liquid shampoo and conditioners and their plastic bottles.

From the silky lather to the rich signature scent, I’m in love with this shampoo bar. It is early in my transition from a soap/shampoo bar, but my hair feels much smoother and softer, and already seems healthier. I won’t lie — the price gave me pause initially, but it only took two washes for me to figure out it was worth it. I haven’t felt the need to use conditioner while washing my hair with this bar, but I’m so delighted with the change I’ve experienced, I’m already planning another order, this time including a Lassëa conditioning bar. Side note: I appreciate NightBlooming’s eco-friendly packaging which also, somehow, manages to be aesthetically pleasing. Definitely a fan now.

The kraft clamshell is reusable (it's great for storing the bar in if you take it to the gym or travel), recyclable, and compostable!

I have tried Shampoo bars before, some from mainstream suppliers, some from small Esty shops, some from small businesses, some from big businesses. I’ve even made shampoo bars myself. My shower is littered with the array of products I have made and tried. I have disliked every single one of them. Some made my hair feel gummy, some made it dry in weird ways, almost like tendrils. And then I used NightBlooming’s. Not even a fair competition. It doesn’t leave a gummy residue, it leaves the hair light and free, and weightless. The other best part is the scent. I’ll walk past the shower and then be like, “Oohh. Whats that smell?” and then I’ll rediscover that it’s the shampoo bar. Is it an investment? Yes. But I have found they last a long time. The little sample sizes last me at least 6 washes, and they are itty bitty. I haven’t had the lembas one long enough to tell you how long it would last, but I wager it’ll be a long time. If you are willing to spend a little more on yourself (which I assume you are since you are taking the time to research and read reviews), I would go for it. start with the sample size if you aren’t sure. You don’t have to commit to the bigger bars ( but If you’re like me you probably will once you’ve tried it XD)
